PETITION TO BRING CHOIR BACK!

Montesano Junior/Senior High School • Montesano, Washington

Our students deserve the opportunity to sing, create, and grow through music!

To the Montesano School District Administration and School Board:

We, the undersigned parents, students, alumni, and community members, respectfully ask the school administration and school

district to reinstate choir at Montesano Junior/Senior High School.

Choir provides students with an opportunity to develop their musical talents, build confidence, work as a team, express

themselves creatively, and form meaningful connections with their peers. Music can be an important part of a student's school

experience, and we believe our students deserve the opportunity to participate in a choir program.

We understand that schools face budget constraints and scheduling challenges. However, we ask the district to explore

possible solutions to bring choir back, whether through a regular class, an after-school program, community partnerships, or

other available resources.

OUR REQUESTS

• Reinstate choir at Montesano Junior/Senior High School.

• Give interested students the opportunity to participate in a choir program.

• Explore affordable ways to fund and staff the program.

• Allow students and families to share their input on bringing choir back.

We believe music education matters, and we want our students to have opportunities to discover their talents, build friendships,

develop confidence, and experience the joy of singing together. Our school community deserves the opportunity to advocate for

programs that enrich students' lives and contribute to a well-rounded education.

We ask the Montesano School District to listen to our community and seriously consider restoring choir for our

students.
