To: Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), Rogers Communications, the Toronto Raptors, TSN, and Sportsnet

We, the undersigned fans of the Toronto Raptors, are calling for the return of the team’s television broadcast booth to its longtime courtside location beside the floor.

For years, Matt Devlin and his partners (including Jack Armstrong on TSN) called Raptors games live from courtside at Scotiabank Arena, right next to the seats where Drake and other notable fans sit. That setup was more than just a broadcast position — it was part of the game-day experience. It put the voices of the team in the heart of the action, allowed for the energy of the crowd and occasional courtside interactions to come through on air, and gave the broadcast a unique Toronto feel that fans across Canada loved.

This season, that courtside broadcast table has been removed and replaced with additional premium seats. The announcing team has been moved higher in the building. While we understand the desire to maximize seating inventory, this change comes at the cost of something fans valued. The courtside presence helped make Raptors broadcasts special and distinctive. Losing it makes the telecast feel more distant and generic.

We are asking MLSE, Rogers, the Raptors, TSN, and Sportsnet to:

1.  Restore the courtside broadcast position for Matt Devlin and the Raptors television crew.

2.  Prioritize the quality and character of the fan experience and broadcast over adding a small number of extra courtside seats.

3.  Consult with fans and the broadcast team on future changes that affect the on-air product.

Raptors basketball is about more than just the players on the floor. The voices that have called the action for nearly two decades are part of what makes watching a Raptors game feel like home. Bring the booth back courtside.

Sign this petition to show that fans want Matt Devlin and the broadcast team back where they belong — right beside the action.
