Maryan Ahmadey is a young Somali woman whose whereabouts and safety have become a serious concern.

After a TikTok livestream in which she reportedly received around 2.3 million TikTok coins, Maryan suddenly became unreachable. Her phone was switched off, and her family were left without answers about where she was or what had happened to her.

Videos and photographs circulating online have also raised concerns about possible injuries, including marks that appear to resemble cigarette burns. There are further disturbing allegations about her treatment and possible exploitation. While these claims have not all been independently verified, they are serious enough to demand an urgent investigation.

We are not asking anyone to assume what happened to Maryan. We are asking the authorities to find her and establish the truth.

We call on the Ethiopian authorities to urgently locate Maryan, ensure her safety, investigate the allegations of human trafficking and abuse, and, if she wishes, reunite her with her family and loved ones.
