Bring Marshalls to Central Park Shopping Center in Fredericksburg, VA

The Issue

For years, I've watched the Central Park Shopping Center in Fredericksburg, VA transform into a bustling hub filled with stores that cater to our community's needs. As one of the most popular shopping centers in the region, it proudly boasts retail giants like Target, Walmart, Kohl's, Best Buy, and Lowe's. Yet, I believe there's an opportunity to enhance the shopping experience further by bringing a beloved retailer closer to home—Marshalls.

Marshalls, with its array of fashion, home goods, and unique items, is a retail favorite for many, and it shares a special bond with other stores in the retail community like T.J.Maxx and Burlington. With T.J.Maxx already established in Central Park, Marshalls would be a perfect addition, potentially boosting foot traffic and elevating our shopping center's appeal.

Currently, Marshalls operates successfully in Cosner's Corner off Exit 126 from I-95, right next to Target. This location has been a go-to for many bargain hunters in Fredericksburg. While it's thriving there, adding another location in Central Park wouldn't mean competition but rather complementarity. Burlington and T.J.Maxx could very well welcome their retail friend, Marshalls, offering customers variety and convenience in one central location.

Fredericksburg's residents deserve a convenient shopping experience with access to their favorite retail brands, and Central Park is the ideal location due to its accessibility and popularity. The addition of Marshalls will not only serve the community's existing shoppers but attract new ones, boosting local commerce and providing economic benefits to the area.

Let's make Central Park Shopping Center even better! Join me in calling upon the stakeholders to consider this proposal. Please sign this petition to show your support for bringing Marshalls to Central Park and together, let's enhance our shopping experience right here in Fredericksburg, VA.
