Bring life back to Hartstown community centre in the mornings

Bring life back to Hartstown community centre in the mornings
El problema
Hartstown community centre is more than a building; it's a symbol of our community's resilience and spirit. It was constructed through the immense efforts and generosity of the people of Hartstown, who raised funds and even took part in the labour required to make it a reality. Today, these very community members - the elder patrons who once dreamt of and realized its presence - are being denied the vibrant, functional hub they deserve in their golden years.
The centre, for many years, served as a hub for social and recreational activities, bringing people together to learn, share, and grow. The recent revenovations are an excellent investment and have improved on the building. However, during the morning/afternoon the building is underutilized and failing to meet the evolving needs of our community.
We propose to:
1. Secure funding from local government and/or any available state/European funding to be able to provide a coffee shop space where people can meet in the mornings/early afternoons for a chat and a cup of tea or coffee.
2. Bring the Exwell programme to the centre to help with the physical and mental health of our residents. As Exwell themselves say: "a large proportion of the disability and un-wellness that comes with any long-term illness is caused by becoming deconditioned and unfit because of lack of exercise". We want to provide everyone in Hartstown with this valuable service and not have the neccesity to travel to Mulhuddart, Blakestown or further afield.
For our elders who started this community centre, and for future generations who could benefit immensely from its resources, we want to come together to revive the heart of Hartstown. By injecting life back into the community centre, we can create an enduring environment that meets our community's present and future needs.
Please sign this petition to show your support for revitalizing Hartstown community centre into a thriving hub of activity and connection. Together, we can ensure its importance in the social fabric of our community for years to come.
