Kirk Olivier is a husband, father, son, brother, and friend who has built a life and a family here in Pennsylvania.

Kirk is a father to two U.S.-citizen children, and his wife is also a U.S. citizen. He has worked, supported his family, paid his bills, and built strong relationships within his community.

Today, Kirk is sitting in York County Prison, separated from his wife, his two children, his family, and the community.

Kirk is currently facing a pending criminal case stemming from a 2023 shooting. Kirk maintains that he acted in self defense after being attacked and later confronted by the same individual. His case has not been decided, and we believe he deserves the opportunity to defend himself through the legal process.

We understand that Kirk’s situation is complicated because his immigration status and ICE involvement. However, we ask that the entire situation be considered and not just the allegations against him.

At home there is a family that is suffering from his absence.

His children are without their father. His wife is without her husband. His mother is without her son, and his siblings are without their brother. 

We are asking the appropriate authorities and the court to consider Kirk’s family responsibilities, community ties, character, and unique circumstances and allow him to return home while his legal case proceeds, if legally permissible.

Kirk has a whole community waiting for him on the outside.
