The person will be referred to only as Travonte S. since change.org removed his name after he complained. His full name and picture, however, can be found in updates. He's trying to cover up what he did but I'm going to make sure the World knows.

Overview:

In Berks County, Reading, PA, on 6-9-21 my daughter Briana Whiting was found by her boyfriend, Travonte S., struggling to breath and unconscious. Travonte immediately told his roommate Andrew S. to leave the apartment, but he refused. Travonte did not call for help for 6 hours, when Narcan could have saved Briana's life (studies show 93%-98% survival rate). A 30 second phone call and my baby would still be with me. So many people miss her.

Instead he left her in the bedroom and went to play video games in another room. He went in a second time hours later to break into her phone using HER FINGERPRINT to get phone numbers, and called who she'd been with the night before, BUT DID NOT CALL 911. For her to have already been unconscious at 5:30 a.m., she had to have been noticeably in distress, if not already deceased, when he went in to get into her phone. The third time he went into the room, he called his roommate, Andrew S., into the room and his roommate supposedly had to tell him to call 911, at 11:08 a.m. My daughter was already in rigor mortis. Please tell Berks County Police to charge Travonte S. and bring Briana justice. He allowed her to die!

Details:

On June 9, 2021 my daughter Briana Kaylei Whiting, age 20, passed away from fentanyl toxicity, although she had not been known to use opioids previously. Felicia H.L. gave her a fentanyl laced Percocet 30 and then ran off to Florida, leaving her 3 children behind with her mother in Reading, PA... after the Reading Police were able to get into Briana's phone and found evidence to do an autopsy. I believe she snitched on someone and knew she had to leave, and the police just doesn't care about getting my daughter justice.

Briana had come home the morning of June 9th around 1:30 a.m., confirmed by a text message she sent to her boyfriend, Travonte S. saying it was hot in the apartment and the AC was broken. Her boyfriend found her when he arrived home from work around 5:30 a.m. laying face down with her face in her pillow, struggling to breath and unconscious. Travonte S. told his roommate, Andrew S., that nothing he tried would wake her, yet he left her there to go play video games in the other room. Andrew had been at the apartment when Briana arrived home but claimed he didn't see her come in. A 30 second phone call would have saved her life! Hours later, Travonte returned to the bedroom and used her fingerprint to break into her phone to retrieve phone numbers.

He then called the people she had been with the previous night, Felicia H.L., Mel D., and Rashaun D.R, using his own phone. I do not know what their conversation was about, but I was told he wanted to know about a "throuple" (relationship between 3 people) he had heard she was involved in. HE AGAIN DID NOT CALL FOR HELP, despite ACTUALLY USING his phone, but left her in the bedroom alone again, and went back into the other room with his roommate to play games.

At this time, Felicia H.L., the person who gave her the pills, called me around 9:30 or 10:00 a.m. She told me she was afraid for Briana because Travonte had called and had asked for my number, which was very strange.

Travonte and I didn't get along because he had 2 prior Domestic Violence incidents against Briana, one that sent her to the hospital in an ambulance after he beat her in the middle of the highway. Felicia H.L. sounded very worried, so I hung up and started calling, texting and FB messaging my daughter. She didn't reply, so I called Felicia H.L. back and asked for Travonte's number and asked her what time she had dropped Briana off at- 1:30 a.m. 

I started calling Travonte, and I believe texting him as well, with no response. So I called Reading non-emergency police and asked them to please check on my daughter. I told them her boyfriend had a history of violence and she had a history of cocaine use and depression. Never of opioids. I believe my call may have been made prior to his 911 call, but they won't release that information to me.

It was not until 11:08, almost 6 hours after her boyfriend had gotten home and found Briana struggling to breath and unconscious, that he finally called 911. By the time they found her she was in rigor mortis. It takes 3 hours for that to set in. Her body was cold, which also takes hours... In 90 degree weather in a hot apartment. I called and spoke with a private coroner in South NJ, where I live, to confirm that information. Briana was found by Travonte with NO PANTS ON and only a t-shirt, and NO RAPE KIT was done despite her being unconscious for hours with 2 men because "she was already deceased so it no longer mattered," according to Reading Police.

Andrew S. has a history from school of using date rape drugs on women, and if you read our messages on my FB he voices concern over being seen as a suspect in her death, which was odd, and he seemed surprised no Xanax was found in her system.  There was a type of benzodiazepine that is not FDA approved in the USA in her toxicology report, but at the time I was not aware of that information. Red flags... but they never bothered to speak to the only other person there when Briana was found deceased. When I spoke with RPD about my conversation with Andrew 8 months after her death, I was told anything he would say would useless since I had already spoken to him, despite them never bothering to speak to him. 

Reading DA won't charge Travonte S. because PA Good Samaritan law has no duty to act. Actually, 40 states in the US have no duty to act. Not even to call 911 if someone is dying right in front of you. Think about that. How you'd feel if your parent or child were in a situation where they desperately needed help immediately and someone walked right past them and wouldn't call 911, and it was perfectly legal, even if morally apprehensible, and they died when they could have been saved?

I believe there's so much more to what happened to my child!

10 days before he let Briana die, Travonte had pulled his gun on Briana and threatened to kill her. There's a voice message she left her sister confirming this. 

In 2020 he had been caught with child pornography, and Briana was going to testify against him. Travonte had her making porn and posting it online when she was barely 17 and he was 25. His charges are public information, and in the updates. He's currently doing 6 months at BCP for those charges. 

I believe Travonte didn't call 911 because he didn't want her to be able to testify against him about the child pornographyhe had her making with him. If an ambulance had come right away, they could have given her Narcan. SHE WOULD STILL BE ALIVE! I WOULD STILL HAVE MY SOUL!

Bri has a 20 year-old sister who was her very best friend who is lost without her. 5 little sisters and a brother who miss her so much. She was smart, and hilarious, and beautiful, and kind, and good. She was so good. She wanted the best for everyone and for everyone to just be happy. I'm a shell of the person I once was... And I don't know how to find my way knowing she never got justice. 

Please help me get justice for my baby. Please sign the petition for the Reading Police to Charge Travonte S. for failure to act. Insist the Reading Police look further into Andrew's potential involvement in her death. Insist Felicia be held responsible for giving Briana fentanyl. Please help me get justice for the loss of a beautiful soul.
