As an Asian-Indian family residing in the USA, we are deeply disappointed by the lack of Indian language options on Disney+ USA. Language is more than just words—it’s a connection to culture, heritage, and shared experiences. In India, Disney+ Hotstar offers an immersive experience by providing content in multiple regional languages like Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, making movies more accessible and enjoyable for families.

However, despite subscribing to Disney+ in the USA, we are deprived of this same experience. The absence of Indian language dubs limits the joy of watching beloved Disney movies as a family, from grandparents to children, in the languages we cherish. This limitation affects not only us but also thousands of Indian diaspora families across the country who long for the same comfort and inclusivity.

According to the Migration Policy Institute, over 2.6 million Indian diaspora members reside in the United States as of 2019. Providing Indian language dubs on Disney+ USA would not only enhance their viewing experience but also embrace diversity and inclusion—values that Disney itself champions.

We urge Disney+ USA to implement Indian language dubbed options just as it does in India, ensuring that all families can experience the magic of Disney in the language they love.
