The lack of IMAX cinemas and the fact that the filmgoers and cinephiles of Pakistan are oblivious to such a profound technology is devastating, and the so-called people from the higher authorities are willing to let this issue go by silently. NOT ANYMORE.

 People need to understand what IMAX is. It's not just a big screen. It's an emotional escapade for cinephiles and countless other people who haven't witnessed such an event and go by without getting the taste of IMAX. It's a demand problem and a marketing problem. Where Hollywood releases entire films designed only for IMAX, audiences in Pakistan are forced to settle for outdated tech and degraded quality. 

IMAX IS A NEED, NOT A WANT. 

The obliviousness of IMAX is affecting the society of cinephiles in Pakistan, which has led to the expiration of IMAX licensing at the only place where there was an IMAX designated criteria, ie Cinestar Lahore. And now, because of the zero marketing and demand around Pakistan, nobody is willing to pay to get that cinema back in their heavenly state. And why is that? Such a country is Pakistan. Even though there are significant political issues throughout the country and nobody is moving an inch due to the high-stakes dilemma, this petition will likely die before anyone notices.

Back to the issue at hand, what is IMAX? It's a hundred times better and bigger than a normal cinema. And we need it. Everywhere. Starting with the IMAX reinstallation in Lahore and multiple openings and collaborations with already existing cinemas like Cinepax, Arena, etc. 

What We’re Asking:

• Installation of true IMAX theatres (not just ‘IMAX-branded’ or fake-enhanced screens).
• Begin with major cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, but expand into cultural hubs like Peshawar, Quetta, and Multan.
• Partnerships with cinema chains (Cinepax, Nueplex, Atrium) to upgrade or install new locations.

I am just a single advocate for IMAX, who is in awe of the big screen and will do anything to have an IMAX near me and everywhere. As for profitability, it will be worth it if more people know what they are in for. 

I know it will cost a lot, but I just need a worthy investor who believes in IMAX and is willing to come with me on this journey of cinematic environment.
