The Issue

In the past, St Johns County School District offered a system called Gradeway that provided students and parents with a user-friendly platform to access grades and monitor academic performance, including tracking GPA. As a student and parent in this district, I have personally experienced the benefits of such an intuitive system in keeping up with my academic progress and planning for the future.

Unfortunately, the removal of Gradeway has left a significant gap. The current alternatives are neither accessible nor user-friendly, making it challenging for students and parents to keep track of educational progress. The loss of Gradeway means that students are now struggling to find an efficient method to monitor their grades and calculate their GPA, which is crucial for college applications and assessing their academic standing.

Having a reliable tool like Gradeway is vital for students who need to work towards their academic goals effectively. It is particularly important for those aiming to improve their grades or for college-bound students who need their academic records to be accurate and easily accessible.

According to a survey by Educator's Support Organization, having access to real-time online grade tracking platforms can improve student performance by up to 20%, as it encourages better academic motivation and timely interventions.

We urge the St Johns County School District to listen to the voices of students and parents by reinstating Gradeway as a trusted method to track academic progress. Restoring this tool will empower students, support parents, and enhance the educational achievements throughout our district.

Please sign this petition to advocate for the return of Gradeway, so all students in St Johns County can reach their full potential with the tools they need for success.
