Bring Free Public Restroom Pods to Jamaica, Queens
The Issue
We, the undersigned residents, commuters, workers, and visitors of Jamaica, Queens, are calling for the installation of clean, safe, and free public restroom pods in our community.
Jamaica is a major transportation and commercial hub, serving thousands of residents and commuters every day. However, access to public restrooms remains limited. People should not have to pay a subway fare or make a purchase at a private business simply to use a restroom.
We are requesting that the city consider installing four free public restroom pods in strategic locations:
Two along Parsons Boulevard.
Two near Sutphin Boulevard and Archer Avenue.
These facilities would promote public health, improve sanitation, support seniors and people with disabilities, and make Jamaica a more welcoming community.
We urge city officials to consider this proposal and work with the community toward making clean, accessible public restrooms a reality.
Please support this initiative by signing this petition.
