As you may or may not be aware, there is a food truck ban in Denver's LoDo area.  This is Denver's busiest bar district and an area that food trucks have been a staple of for many years.  This has allowed bar patrons a place to eat late night after an evening of cocktails and even helped drive additional, mutual business to the bars and the food trucks alike.  As most bars and food trucks are small businesses, we rely on each other, the community and even the city to stay in business. 

Unfortunately, just recently Denver Police Department banned all food trucks in Downtown Denver's busiest areas (Larimer, Blake & Market Streets) near the ballpark and LoDo's bar district.  This was an unfair, knee jerk reaction to the increase in crime in the area.

We strongly feel that this is not only, not a solution.  But this will actually create more of a problem, by driving people away from the bars, to more residential areas where food trucks have been pushed out to and where there is no police presence.  This, will in turn increase crime and noise in the residential blocks surrounding the bar areas, where the bans were put into place.

We ask that you please sign this petition to bring food trucks back to Denver's busiest bar district and help us and all of our fellow small business owners stay in business.
