Introduction:
Linux gamers have long been an underserved community, despite the rapid growth of gaming on this open-source platform. With the rise of tools like Proton, Wine, and native Linux support, gaming on Linux has never been more accessible. Yet, major developers like EA, Activision, and Ubisoft continue to ignore the demand for Linux-native support for their games. This petition calls on these companies to recognize the growing power and potential of Linux gaming and bring their titles to the platform.

The Problem:
Every year, millions of gamers embrace Linux not just for its stability, security, and performance but because it represents freedom. However, when it comes to gaming, Linux users are constantly left behind. Current solutions like Steam’s Proton provide a workaround, but they are far from perfect. We are forced to rely on compatibility layers that don't always work and often provide subpar performance. It’s time to change that.

The Opportunity:
Linux gaming is no longer a fringe hobbyist pursuit. The Linux desktop market share has grown steadily, and major distributions like Ubuntu, Fedora, and Pop!_OS are becoming more user-friendly. The gaming community on Linux is vibrant, active, and growing faster than ever. By releasing games natively on Linux, developers would not only open their games to a huge, underserved market but also show their commitment to innovation and support for open-source systems.

The Demand:
We demand that EA, Activision, Ubisoft, and other major game developers begin providing native Linux support for their games. It's time for these companies to stand with the thousands of Linux gamers who are waiting for official, optimized experiences.

We want the following:
1. Native Linux support for popular titles such as FIFA, Call of DutyAssassin's Creed, and The Sims.
2. Continuous support for future game releases on Linux.
3. No more relying on workarounds or compatibility layers. Native Linux versions will not only benefit us, but also improve overall game performance and stability for everyone.

The Impact:
Bringing these titles to Linux will empower millions of gamers and ensure that Linux remains a competitive gaming platform for years to come. Developers will be able to tap into a new, growing audience that is passionate and dedicated to open-source software and gaming.

Conclusion:
It's time for game developers to embrace Linux, just as many of us have embraced their games. Join us in calling for an open, inclusive gaming ecosystem. Together, we can show the world that Linux gamers deserve the same respect, support, and games as everyone else.
