As residents of Moore County, North Carolina, we are witnesses to the rapid growth and transformation of our community. With the population surging by 10.9% since 2020, we are among the fastest-growing counties in the state. Despite this growth, our community lacks access to a crucial retailer that could significantly benefit our residents—Costco.

Currently, many of us are forced to drive over an hour to reach the nearest Costco. This is not only an inconvenience but also a financial burden, especially amidst rising gas prices and increasing costs of living. Our community includes many military families, retirees living on fixed incomes, and young families who could greatly benefit from the cost-saving opportunities that Costco provides.

Costco is renowned for offering high-quality goods at competitive prices, bulk purchasing opportunities, and a variety of services that enhance the quality of life. Having a local Costco would not only save our residents time and money by reducing long travel distances but also stimulate our local economy through job creation and increased retail competition.

Furthermore, other nearby areas have seen economic boosts and improved community satisfaction with the presence of Costco locations. For instance, communities with Costco stores often report increased local employment rates, and local businesses sometimes benefit from increased customer traffic driven by Costco's presence.

We are appealing to Costco Wholesale and local government authorities to recognize this significant demand and demographic opportunity in Moore County. By bringing Costco to our area, we can meet the growing needs of our community efficiently and sustainably.

Join us in our quest to bring Costco closer to home, making everyday life more affordable and accessible for everyone in Moore County. Sign this petition to show your support and help us reach our goal of having a Costco location established in our thriving county.
