Bring Buzzy Boo Home 🐾💔
We are desperately asking for your support to bring our beloved dog, Buzz home.
On Sunday 9th August at around 7:30pm, six police officers arrived at our home and seized Buzz because someone had reported him for looking like an XL Bully or pitbull and the police believe he may be a prohibited-type dog.
Buzzy was taken from his own home, leaving behind a heartbroken family, especially my two-year-old little girl, who watched through tears as I had to put her best friend into the back of a police van. She simply doesn’t understand why her best friend has been taken away from her.
Since that moment, our home has felt completely empty. Our hearts are broken. 💔
Buzzy was rescued when he was only a couple of months old. Since then, he has grown up alongside our family and has become so much more than a pet. He is my baby’s best friend, her companion and someone she adores. He is also my best hacking partner — happily coming out with me around the horses and cantering through the fields.
He is microchipped, neutered and muzzle trained. Most importantly, Buzz has never shown any aggression towards people or other animals. He is a loving, affectionate family dog who has never caused anyone any harm.
We understand that the police have a duty to investigate reports and that the law must be followed. But we desperately want Buzz to be given a fair assessment based on his actual behaviour and temperament, rather than simply what someone believes he looks like.
Behind every seized dog is a family. Behind Buzz is a two-year-old little girl who is missing her best friend.
We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for Buzzy to be fairly assessed, for his individual circumstances to be considered, and for him to be allowed to come home to the family who love him.
