Add Christchurch to The Romantic Tour
We are asking Live Nation New Zealand to add a Christchurch date to Bruno Mars’ The Romantic Tour at One New Zealand Stadium.

Bruno Mars is coming to New Zealand, but currently Auckland is the only announced New Zealand date.

For Christchurch and South Island fans, that is incredibly disappointing.

Christchurch has the stadium
Christchurch now has a brand-new stadium specifically designed to host major international events and concerts.

One New Zealand Stadium is here. It is open. It is capable of hosting a stadium-scale Bruno Mars concert.

Robbie Williams and Foo Fighters have already been announced for major concerts at the stadium, demonstrating that Christchurch can attract some of the world's biggest touring artists.

Yet Live Nation has not announced a single concert at One New Zealand Stadium.

Bruno Mars could be the first.

Christchurch is the gateway to the South Island
This isn't just about Christchurch.

Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island and the natural major-event hub for fans from across the island.

A Christchurch stadium show could give fans from Canterbury, Otago, Southland, Nelson, Marlborough, the West Coast and other parts of the South Island an opportunity to attend without having to travel to Auckland.

The South Island deserves access to major international stadium tours too.

South Island fans deserve better
We should not have to travel to Auckland every time a major international artist comes to New Zealand.

Travelling from the South Island to Auckland means paying for flights, accommodation, transport and other expenses on top of the concert ticket. For many fans, that can make attending a show significantly more difficult or even impossible.

Christchurch is a major New Zealand city. The South Island has a large population and a huge music audience.

We are not asking for a small regional show. We have a stadium capable of hosting the same calibre of concert as Auckland.

Why not Christchurch?
Bruno Mars is already touring stadiums.

He is already coming to New Zealand.

Christchurch already has the venue.

So why should Auckland be the only New Zealand stop?

We believe there would be significant demand for a Christchurch show from Christchurch and fans throughout the South Island, and we want Live Nation to seriously investigate whether an additional date at One New Zealand Stadium can be added.

Christchurch finally has the stadium. Now we want the major international tours to actually use it.

Our request
We are asking Live Nation New Zealand to:

ADD BRUNO MARS TO CHRISTCHURCH AT ONE NEW ZEALAND STADIUM.

Please don't assume that Auckland represents the entire New Zealand market.

Please recognise the demand from Christchurch and the wider South Island.

Please give South Island fans the opportunity to experience Bruno Mars at our brand-new stadium.

Christchurch has the stadium.
The South Island has the audience.
Christchurch wants Bruno Mars.
