In 2021 Guidance Moon was invited to participate in a prestigious and rigorous culinary internship at the Ritz-Carlton in Santa Barbara California. Guidance had just lost her mother and father due to sudden death, and she herself was going through treatment at the Cancer Center in Little Rock Arkansas. Guidance found medical cannabis while searching for a natural way to ease the pain, fatigue, & symptoms of P.T.S.D. Guidance learned to infuse cannabis into her everyday cooking and subsequently avoid the need for opioids and other mind numbing prescription medications that were often prescribed for patients like herself.

 

 

Guidance was taught to cook at a very young age by her mothers and grandmother. Chef Guidance spent over 20 years being groomed mentally, socially, and sexually. Guidance endured YEARS of sexual abuse that was hidden by the leaders of the religious cult. She had to face her abusers several times a week with no hope for justice. She never celebrated her birthday, Christmas, or any other holiday until she was well in her twenties. To escape her reality Chef Guidance began sharing her Love of cooking, nature, and motherhood with the world through creating content on social media. 

 

 

After battling obesity chronic illness, poverty, and religious abuse for decades Guidance shed over 200 pounds and left everything and everyone she knew in the south to pursue her career and education and culinary arts; hoping to change the lives of her and her boys, and ultimately provide unlimited opportunities for her two children.

 

Brannon was diagnosed with IUGR (Inter-Uterine Growth Restriction) while Guidance was in her 4th month of pregnancy. Guidance had to receive daily injections of blood thinners into her abdomen, and she was placed on almost 5 months of complete bed rest to ensure that her baby boy would have the best chances of survival. The birth was extremely difficult for Guidance. The anesthesiologist took over 3 hours to administer the anesthesia for her EMERGENCY cesarean section; Scraping her spinal column and causing irreversible damage; that would give guidance pain and complications for the rest of her life. with every poke for that humongous needle. Tiny Brannon was born weighing 4 pounds 6oz. He spent a week in the N.I.C.U before he was allowed to go home with his mother and brother. Despite her desires to have a loving maternal connection with her, Guidance and her mother and law already had a 10th and awkward relationship due to the fact that her mother-in-law constantly overstepped in her son's marriage and tried to control them. Once they arrived home from the hospital, the fight for her son began. Brannon's grandmother was determined to usurp Guidance, and steal Brannon from his mother. Her jealousy and controlling spirit became worse and worse as Guidance bonded with her baby. And to her surprise her husband did NOTHING to stop his mother's controlling behavior. In fact, her husband seemed. After spending a week unable to fully bond with her baby while he was in the intensive Care Unit; Guidance had one request: She wanted 48 hours to bond with her baby, WITHOUT HER MOTHER-IN-LAW coming over. She begged her now ex-husband to honor her wishes and inform his mother. But guess who was knocking at their front door their first morning home from the hospital. 

"PLEASE TELL YOUR MOTHER TO COME BACK IN 2 DAYS AND ALLOW US TIME TO BOND WITH OUR NEW BABY" Guidance begged her Husband. Unable to move independently due to the recent C-section, and the damage to her spine; Guidance was powerless. Her husband opened the door and let his mother in despite Guidance's desperate plea for bonding time. And from that day on; Every day was a fight for Guidance. Her husband allowed his mother to control their marriage, their home, and Guidance's role as a mother & wife.

Things quickly took off for Guidance once she arrived in california. The three-month internship at the Ritz-Carlton turned into a permanent employment offer, and to her surprise Guidance began receiving calls from Hollywood. It was clear to guidance that life-changing opportunities existed for her and her children in california. Guidance transferred her culinary education to Santa Barbara City College, and worked over 50 hours a week at the Ritz-Carlton learning everything she could about fine dining and hospitality.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After months of being separated from her children and working harder than she ever had in her life guidance was able to save enough money to rescue her children from Louisiana and relocate them to be with her in California. Guidance, Eli, and Brannon for enjoying their new lives and healing in California. After being generationally bullied at F-Rated schools back home in the South, the three of them were enjoying being educated in a safe and beautiful environment by the sea. Together they travelled the West Coast, sharing their epic adventures and newfound freedom with the world on social media. Guidance couldn't believe it! After surviving years of abuse and poverty; the light behind her children's eyes had returned. Out of nowhere guidance received notice that her ex-husband and his religiously & socially controlling family had conspired to sue for full custody of her youngest son Brannon; As punishment for Guidance's "Choice" to come out as a lesbian, leave Louisiana to escape the trauma and pursue her dreams, and her tenacity and audacity to rescue her children against All odds. Guidance had enrolled Her boys in the best schools in her area, exposed them to art & culture, while making sure that both of her children received the proper treatment for their autism. Guidance has taken Brannon and Elishah on adventures in amazing places like: The Ozark Mountains, Malibu California, The Appalachian Trail, Branson Missouri, Galveston Texas, The Getty, The X-Games, The Mojave Desert, The Florida Keys, Lake Tahoe, and more! Elishah is an accomplished young musician and chef. Elishah is an amazing student athlete, who plays 12 instruments; And is already ready working on his first degree under his mother's influence and direction. Elishah has been in a movie that is on Hulu(Fearless Faith), he has recorded music at Disney, and he's performed music in front of hundreds. Guidance is graduating with the degree in culinary Arts spring of 2025. Don't you agree that Brannon deserves these same great opportunities?

 

Brannon has to spend every day WATCHING others live full lives fr his grandmothers living room; with his computer as his only window to the outside world. Though the court order States that Brannon is supposed to live with his father, Brannon resides and is cared for mostly by his 93-year-old grandmother because His father lacks the mental capacity to care for Brannon on his own. Guidance had just became a member of management at a brand new multi-million dollar medical cannabis facility in California when the first court hearing was held back in Louisiana. Guidance was completely blindsided by the case while still going to college full time, and battling chronic illness, while struggling to survive the financial burden of supporting herself and her two children in the expensive town of Santa Barbara California. Guidance had no financial means to hire an attorney, leaving her with legal aid as the only option. And what a horrible option it was! Every lawyer she consulted with told Guidance that she did not stand a chance against the antiquated and socially and just family legal system in Union parish. Despite her diligence, the custody case was mishandled by the legal aid firm assigned to her case(Acadiana Legal Aid). Judge Rogers blocked Guidance's petition for reduced court fees(In Forma Pauperis); preventing her from filing evidence & witness statements that she believes were crucial to deciding custody. Including refusing to have Brannon's father tested for mental fitness; despite the fact that the entire town knows that the man is not mentally capable of caring for himself or a child.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In March of 2022 Judge Joe Rogers of the 3rd District Court ruled that Brannon be returned to the custody of his father in Louisiana. Because of Judge Roger's antiquated views on Cannabis, women, religion, and his disdain for the LGBT community; Guidance lost custody of her baby boy, and her two sons were legally & physically separated from each other. Since that ruling Brannon's mental and emotional health have severely declined; to the point where Guidance has had to make calls to Chile Protective Services to check on the mental wellbeing of her son. His father and grandmother refused to take him for professional mental Health care, despite the urgent phone calls his diagnosing psychiatrist have made to them. They refuse to get him ABA therapy and proper mental health care. Brannon is only 9 years old but he already feels the effects of living with his 93-year-old grandmother and a father who is mentally incapable of caring for him full time. While Guidance & Elishah experience places San Francisco, Los Angeles, Lake Tahoe, and Mount Shasta; Brannon's options for social engagement are very limited living in such a small town. Brannon's desire is to BE FREE and live with his Mom and Brother in California. Brannon has to watch his mother and brother live full lives on social media, while being HELD HOSTAGE in Louisiana.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Guidance is now married to an amazing young lady who is a pilot and flight dispatcher. Guidance, her wife, and their 8 sons WANT BRANNON BACK!!!!

They have worked tirelessly cooking and spreading their love of Soul Food & Southern Comfort with their new community in California; Catering events, filming in Los Angeles, while Saving money for the THOUSANDS of dollars required to travel back & forth to see Brannon. And Praying that the day would come when Brannon would be returned to them. And that's where YOU come in!!!! Your voice can make a difference!
