I am writing this petition out of a personal desire to see the vacant Sears space at Castleton Square Mall in Indianapolis filled by Boscov's. Although I am not a resident of Indianapolis, I believe that this change would greatly benefit the local community and economy. The former location of Sears has been standing empty since 2018, a silent reminder of missed opportunities for growth and development.

Castleton Square Mall is far from struggling, but it could certainly use another anchor store to draw in more customers. When we look at similar situations elsewhere, we can see the potential benefits clearly. For instance, when Dick's Sporting Goods was added as an anchor at West County Center in Des Peres, Missouri in 2002, customer traffic drastically increased.

Boscov's is known for its wide range of products and quality service - characteristics that would make it a valuable addition to Castleton Square Mall. By bringing Boscov’s into this space, we could breathe new life into the mall while providing residents with more shopping options.
