Billingham town centre has been neglected for many years. Stockton on Tees council made a bid for a 20 million pound levelling up fund for Billingham in 2021 and 2022 however both were rejected by Government. 

This petition is to request that government stop neglecting our town centre and look at investing the cash it desperately needs. 

Alongside this, shops are privately owned and the cost to rent is not in line with what people can afford, this is Teesside, not London. 

There is often antisocial behaviour and unfortunately never any police to deal with it. This is placing people at risk and it is common to be attacked in the town centre or John whitehead park.
