June 2026 marked Biggleswade FC’s 10th anniversary.

In a short period of time, we have built a football club with a successful men’s senior team, which has achieved incredible success, including two promotions, cup victories and progression in national competitions such as the FA Cup. The club now plays at a high level (Step 4) in non-league football and also has a successful Reserve side and 10 Youth teams, involving over 140 young players.

Biggleswade FC is highly respected in the football world locally and further afield as being a friendly and welcoming club, for the last two years winning the Hospitality of the Year Award for the whole of the Southern Football League. Our very positive public profile is also reflected in our deep community links with the town of Biggleswade and our partnership work, such as that with Ivel Valley School.

In 10 years we have achieved huge successes both on and off the pitch... and we have done all of this without a home of our own.

For the last five years, Biggleswade FC has been ground-sharing with Bedford Town. Whilst we are grateful to Bedford for their partnership, ground-sharing limits the growth of the club and the opportunities we can provide for Biggleswade.

This petition is being launched to show the strength of feeling about bringing Biggleswade FC back to the town, with a new community facility that we can call home and which will also benefit other sports and leisure in Biggleswade.

The management of the club is engaging positively with our local councils, the Beds FA and others to ensure that an appropriate site can be found that secures the club’s long term future and that allows us to maximise the benefits for Biggleswade residents.

With your support, we can demonstrate the need to get our club back into the town. The more backing we receive, the greater the likelihood of this happening.
