Bring BEN TROMMELS home...
The Issue
Can you imagine the torment of driving by the Niagara canal on a daily basis knowing your child's body is in there?
Ben Trommel`s Mom can.........
On the OPG website (https://www.opg.com/strengthening-the-economy/our-projects/sir-adam-beck-power-canal/
You will see that they state ``Following an extensive condition survey in 2017 and early 2018, engineers began assembling the collected data for review, and may recommend draining the Canal in 2022 and 2023 to undertake concrete rehabilitation, grouting, vegetation management, rock slope stabilization, and debris removal.``
On January 31st, 2023, The day after Ben`s would have been 31st birthday.. Monique, his Mom, was sent an email from Jennifer Grossi with Corporate communications for the OPG that the project has been put on hold until 2026. No explanations, only condolences for her loss of her son. ... Monique had been waiting patiently for 2 years for this project......And waiting for her son to come home...
This has left her devastated.......
Back in 1981, the OPG Dredged the canal to remove 1,834 m3 of debris but nothing has been done since.
Young Ben missing since 2016 is not the only child in the canal...John Patrick O'Connell committed suicide in the canal back in 2008 as well. Monique is actually neighbors with his mother and they share their grief and frustration against the OPG.
Links to the boys' cases are here.....
Both boys are from Ontario but are listed in the US database due to the proximity of Niagara falls.

Patrick - https://www.namus.gov/MissingPersons/Case#/88563?nav
I am not sure if you are aware but On average, between 20 and 30 people die going over Niagara falls each year. The majority of deaths are suicides, and most take place from the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Many of these suicides are not publicized by officials. Mortality rate for the daredevil attempts over the falls is approximately 25%. Ben and John Patrick are not in the Niagara river and did not go over the falls.... They are in the Canal.... We need to find them.
We have many lost loved Canadians in the falls and in the Canal. We need to bring their remains home. .The last set of remains pulled from the canal last spring was only a femur of a man who had been missing since 2011....
Please Share.... We need to fight for this...
