Bring back yearbook quotes at Earl Haig!

The Issue

To all Earl Haig students,

As grade 12 students approach the end of their high school journey, they have the exciting opportunity to commemorate their time at Haig through the tradition of yearbook quotes. However, this year, the school administration has made the decision to stop including quotes in the yearbook. This is a decision that will not only impact the graduating class of 2023 but all future graduating classes of Earl Haig.

Yearbook quotes are a time-honored tradition that allows us to reflect on our high school experience and leave a mark that will be remembered for years to come. They are a chance for us to showcase our personalities, thoughts, and beliefs, and to express our unique perspectives. Yearbook quotes are a form of self-expression that adds depth and character to our yearbook pages.

That's why we are calling on all of you, the students of Earl Haig, to support our cause by signing this petition. By doing so, you are showing your support for the importance of yearbook quotes as a cherished part of the high school experience that promotes self-expression and individuality.

Let's come together and show our school that we are united in our desire to continue to have yearbook quotes. Sign the petition, spread the word, and let's make sure that our yearbooks truly reflect the diverse voices and personalities of our graduating classes for years to come!

Thank you for your support.

UPDATE:

Unfortunately, due to time constraints, the Delphian team believes it is unlikely that the administration will make a change for the class of 2023. Please see their official statement here: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cqw2OmLMs0M/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

However, we urge you to continue spreading the petition and getting it signed. Hopefully the outpouring of support will inspire the school administration to reverse the decision for next year. Thank you Haig State!
