Tikal the Echidna is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog series who appeared in Sonic Adventure in 1998 and briefly in the Archie Comics. However, where as the character she is usually linked in with, Chaos, makes some regular and irregular appearances in the franchises, Tikal has been left to the wayside. This is despite the absolute treasure trove in lore for the Echidnas and Emeralds she could give the players then the barebones lore we have now. Then, there is Tikal as a character. She is a kind, gentle soul who is unafraid to stand up to authority, including her own father and her people, for her own beliefs. This is the kind of thing that can help kids who play the games or read the comics see that it is ok to stand against authority figures if they have the wrong ideas, an important lesson to have in life. One final point, she is no more dead than other characters in Sonic and other franchises and have even more reason to be brought back considering she is in the Master Emerald and can be restored with a means that can give Chaos energy new lore. Please, SEGA, listen to us fans and bring back Tikal for all the reasons listed and possibly more.
