The Issue

"The Upside Down Show" is a children's show that was created by Blink Films and Sesame Workshop and aired on Nick Jr. and Noggin. It stars the hilarious and lovable Umbilical Brothers consisting of Shane Dundas and David Collins. As a devoted fan and together with my family, we've experienced the pure joy of the creative children's television program. This cherished show was filled with enthralling stories and endearing characters, offering immense enjoyment through the entertaining escapades of the Umbilical Brothers. The show was a huge success and loved by many people out there including my family and I!!

Unfortunately, the pleasure was short-lived, as the show ended prematurely after just one season with 13 episodes and ran from 2006-2007. I heard it got cancelled because the network supposedly wasn't interested in renewing it for a second season despite the show's success and the Umbilical Brothers interest in continuing it. Not only that but I heard they were planning a movie as well but it got cancelled because they couldn't get enough funding for it.  This is so unfair and outrageous!! It deserved more episodes and seasons!!

It's now been almost 20 years since the series ended and 20 years since it first premiered!! We all believe it's time this gem of a show made a glorious return to our screens!! "The Upside Down Show" champions imaginative storytelling and a unique style of edutainment that both children and adults love. It's a true masterpiece of educational television that has left an indelible impression on its viewers. The vivid creativity woven into each episode has, undoubtedly, been a source of inspiration to countless children.

We are appealing directly to Noggin and Nick Jr., the broadcasters of "The Upside Down Show," to consider our plea. With many shows of lesser value boasting multiple seasons, it only seems fitting and fair that "The Upside Down Show" be gifted the opportunity to continue its narrative journey. Its revival will undoubtedly fill a vital gap in current children's television and bring joy to both new and old audiences.

However, I'm now worried that the Umbilical Brothers, Shane Dundas and David Collins, might be too old to reprise the roles despite the fact that the duo are still continuing their comedy in other projects. Also Amanda Bishop, the actress who played the lovable Mrs. Foil as well. If they actually manage to bring back "The Upside Down Show" they might have to recast the roles possibly. If that were the case, I really hope they can find another pair of comedians who have the spirit of the Umbilical Brothers! I really hope it's possible for the show to make a comeback despite all this!!

We understand that decisions in the television industry are largely influenced by viewer numbers and ratings. We therefore encourage you, whether you're a nostalgic viewer from yesteryears or a newcomer who has discovered the magic of this show, to demonstrate your support for the show's return.
