The Hilltop community in Pittsburgh has long been underserved by public transit. The situation has not only limited the accessibility and convenience of everyday life, but also has hindered the area’s development. The neighborhoods of Bon Air, Mt. Washington, Beltzhoover, Allentown, and the South Side Slopes NEED the T! What's more frustrating is that there has already been hundreds of thousands of dollars spent installing the infrastructure here to use as an "alternate route" that has no actual stops. Reviving this mode of transportation would greatly enhance our neighborhood's connectivity to the city!

The Hilltop has seen a decline in public transit services over the years, despite the various neighborhoods' evident need and incredible commercial district growth over the past decade. The absence of a regular, reliable trolley service has left many residents feeling cut off, often causing inconvenience and complications in daily commutation. It has also affected the business district's ability to draw people from other parts of the city to come to the Hilltop to shop, eat, and use services here.

We, the residents of the Hilltop neighborhoods, urge Pittsburgh Regional Transit to recognize our struggle and answer our call. Establish a permanent trolley stops throughout the Hilltop! With a swift implementation, our community can look forward to improved transportation, increased access to our great city, and an overall upgraded quality of life.
