My name is Jack Joseph and I was devastated to learn that the Original Chicken Crispers were recently discarded from the Chili's menu. This is the one thing I order every time without exception as it is my all-time favorite dish that no other restaurant offers due to its uniquely delicious wanton form factor. I have ordered this both as an entrée and as an appetizer for well over 20 years. This item has been on the menu since the inception of Chili's as far as I'm aware and it is difficult to accept that they are indeed gone forever. I imagine I am not alone in my bereavement.

They have been replaced with the Crispy Tenders, which are not special. It's not that they are bad but they are traditional chicken tenders similar to that which you can find at many other restaurants.

On the other hand, there is no restaurant in the world that offers similar style chicken in a puffy savory egg-battered wanton form factor like the OG Crispers.

What made Chili's special and a cut above most other chain restaurants was its unique take on popular food items. For example, most restaurants that offer Nachos as an appetizer, they follow the traditional model of dumping a bag of nachos onto a plate and sprinkling cheese, chili, and other accoutrement on top, heat it, and then serve it. Whereas Chili's does its own thing with their Classic Nachos, which is an artisanal Cajun-style recipe and presentation that favors quality over quantity, with each nacho blanketed in cheese. Instead of a jumble of chips and toppings, each chip gets an edge-to-edge spread of beef, beans and cheese. It's phenomenal and everyone I tell about the Classic Nachos instantly falls in love with them.

Not unlike the Original Chicken Crispers, which were also a widely beloved and unique item that perhaps should have been marketed better. If cutting them from the menu was a financial decision, I would gladly pay more to keep my all-time favorite entrée of any restaurant at any price period, personally speaking.

But now we must all collectively signal to Chili's our will to see the Original Chicken Crispers brought back as they were and to continue being a staple of the Chili's menu as they have been for decades. Chili's will never be the same without them.
