Bring back the old deer park logo!!

The Issue

As someone born and raised in Deer Park, TX, the original logo has always been a significant part of my upbringing. This simple symbol holds years worth of sentimental value and represents generations of our community's vibrant history. I am, therefore, driven by a sense of personal connection and community spirit, to pen this petition.

Recently, there has been a change in the logo that disregards our roots and erases the heritage that it once proudly portrayed. While progress and change are necessary for any community, we firmly believe that it should never come at the cost of distorting or erasing our past.

Returning to the original logo would not only restore a sense of nostalgia and belongingness for our town's older generations but would also serve as a symbol of heritage for the younger generation. The icons and symbols that represent our places of origin should stand as unbroken links to our past, cherished reminders of where we've come from.

It's essential to note that the appeal of logos isn't just about aesthetics. A 2012 study shows that customers' brand recognition can increase by up to 80% with a well-designed logo (Source: University of Loyola, Maryland study). It's evident that our original logo, recognized and cherished by our community, fits the qualification of 'well-designed, and greatly loved,' and hence might not just bear sentimental value but could potentially be a smart move for the town's recognition as well.

And so, we urge the relevant decision makers in Deer Park, TX to consider this plea. This is not just a call for the logo's change back to the original but a plea for the preservation of our town's identity and history. Please sign our petition and let's proudly display our community's heritage once again.
