BRING BACK THE MERCOOKIES

The Issue

Hello, first thing is first I would like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to actually read this, it means the world to me since this is something I and many other fans have very strong opinions on. So, onto my main point and the whole reason I published this. Back in 2023, the game Cookie Run Kingdom released an update, bringing the conclusion to the Special Episode named "A Mermaid's Tale", a story of a Gem Mermaid's hunt to gain her own Sea Foam Rite powers of her own. It follows her in her subsequent dire peril, innocent love, and bitter betrayal, my personal favorite Special Episode, part due to the story, but mostly because of the newer species of cookies, the MerCookies. In the story, we are introduced to 5, technically 6, unique MerCookies. First is Black Pearl Cookie, who was previously White Pearl Cookie. Then there is Crimson Coral, Aquamarine, Mystic Opal, and Golden Citrine. All of them with unique stories, looks and personalities. Now, back to the point of this petition. Back when they were released, Crimson Coral got the rarity of Super Epic and served a purpose as a defense type. What happened to the other 3 MerCookies? Well, rather then being in the same class as their eldest sister, they were classified as Guest Cookies, which makes no sense for several reasons. Some of which are:

  • All 4 released at the same time, why does only 1 of them get to stay around 24/7?
  • Guest cookies have been mainly used just for Disney Cookies, with a few exceptions like the developers trying to promote their other Cookie Run games.
  • Guest cookies are just for display, they serve no functional purpose
  • Because they were only temporarily around, they don't have nearly as much love or attention as the other cookies that stuck around

Now, what could they do to fix this problem? Lucky for the developers I already had some ideas to fix this. Firstly, they could release a gacha similar to Shadow Milk's, including exclusive sets of challenges, currencies, and seasonal pass. Every 200 pulls, you can pick 1 of the 3 rereleased MerCookies for a guaranteed pull, this time their rarities swapped from Guest cookies to Super Epics, to match Crimson Coral. Here is some information about each of their new abilities and types.

  • Aquamarine Cookie. She would be a healer type, due to her love of plants and her affectionate nature, you could assume she uses her plants to make elixirs to heal others. Her ability would heal all cookies by 15% of their max health and give them a random bonus effect for 10 seconds. The ability would have a 20 second cooldown.
  • Mystic Opal Cookie. She would be a magic type, due to her control over the weather. She could summon a hail storm, damaging all enemies in front of her.
  • Golden Citrine Cookie. She would be an ambush cookie, sending a wave of treasure out to attack the enemies, due to her love of collecting shiny things. It would damage all enemies in range, and as a bonus, all coin collection for the next 10 seconds is doubled. The cooldown is 25 seconds.

Now, here's the question you're probably asking yourself. Why should they change it at all? Why not keep them as guests and have them just be decorations? Well, simply for one main reason, to bring more attention to the game. Imagine how good it would look for a huge game development group such as DevSisters listen to the crowd and change something for the better. The first example that comes to mind is the Sonic Franchise. They released something, but when the fans didn't like it and disapproved the design, instead of just glossing it over and releasing it anyway, they listened to the fans and made changes, making his design from a rodent straight from hell to a more cartoony design that most people love, and now look at it! The franchise has only gotten better and better over the years, and that's because of the fact they listened to the people. And before you ask "What about the people who already have them, how is it fair to them?" Well, 1, the once useless cookies they had now serve a purpose and can be used as actual playable cookies, and 2, they would be compensated for the fact they earned it back then. For each MerCookie they already owned, they would get 10 free gacha pulls for the new gacha, 10 soul shards for the specific MerCookie(s) they have, plus 3 thousand diamonds, and that is for EACH MerCookie they owned previous to the update, so not only would it benefit the new players, it would benefit the old ones, rewarding them for their hard work. Plus, they could receive a special title if they owned at least 1 prior to the update.
In conclusion, I believe that the developers should change the rarities of the 3 MerCookies that were tucked away for over a year now from guests, which serve no purpose game wise, to Super Epics, which not only would make sense, as it would match their eldest sister's rarity, but it would make them accessible at all times, most defiantly bringing more attention to their names.

Why is this important?
Because it makes more sense for them to be Super Epics then Guests, since
All 4 released at the same time, why does only 1 of them get to stay around 24/7?

(Yes I just copy and pasted from the top part, Im so tired)
