I just learned recently that last year Friendly's decided to stop making all of their ice cream roll products!

Devastation doesn't even begin to describe the feelings I had upon learning the news.  I had just driven to several stores looking for one when I finally decided to go straight to the source, a Friendly's restaurant, where I was delivered the blow by a server.  He understood my shock and disbelief; I wasn't the first patron he had informed of this tragedy.

Growing up on Long Island, the Friendly's Wattamelon Roll has been a staple of summer for as long as I can remember.  Nothing compares to the refreshing lemon rind and watermelon sherbet after spending hours in the pool in the hot sun!
