The decision to ban backpacks at Sturgeon Height Collegiate has turned what should be a smooth school day into a logistical nightmare for students. As someone who walks these overcrowded hallways every day, I can attest to the frustration and chaos this rule has brought to our learning environment.

Navigating the already crowded hallways has become even more challenging as students struggle to get to their lockers in time between classes. The rush to store and retrieve materials now crowds the corridors, creating bottlenecks and heightening the potential for accidents and injuries.

The inability to carry backpacks also means that we have to juggle an abundance of books, binders, and other materials in our hands. This not only slows down our transition between classes but also raises the risk of items being dropped and creating tripping hazards. We're left to manage piles of belongings that backpacks previously organized for us.
