Intro

Splatalot was my childhood's all-time favourite TV show, or media production overall, of all time ever, and it still is. That will never change. I won't bother introducing the show, because if you haven't even seen the show, then you won't have anywhere near enough dedication and commitment. But for me? It was always my childhood dream to be on Splatalot. And this has transitioned into being my life dream now. And I will not rest until I get to be a contestant, progress through every round, dodge the defenders, and get that crown.

 

I think all of us have our own unique reasons for loving the show. For some it's the defenders, for others it's a particular round (such as, for me, the Loathsome Ladder), or maybe the splats, and who can forget the comedic antics of Jason Agnew and Matt Chin! But no matter what the reason for it is, we all share the same deep and strong love for Splatalot, regardless whether it's season 1 or season 2.

 

And of course, the more you loved the show, the harder the hit of the spinoff show "Smashalot". It hit especially hard for me, and trust me, nothing hurts more than watching your favourite place on earth come crumbling down – quite literally. I didn't even make it past the first episode. I mean, don't get me wrong, I would have also found it quite difficult resisting the temptation to jump the fence and explore the whole kingdom (if I lived in Canada), but never for such dire and devastating consequences.

The Plan

Alright, let's get down to business. I'll tell you the estimated costs later (don't wanna scare people off), but for now let's just leave it at "crazy expensive". Obviously 1 single person (me) can't bring back a huge and expensive game show back to life all by myself, so I need help. Just to be clear, this isn't some quick 6-month project; this is a full long-term accomplishment, which could take about 5-10 years depending on how many people support the movement. But as I said, I will not rest until Splatalot is back, this time to stay.

 

But if we work together, and we build up a community, and we stay focused and dedicated, we might just have a chance to bring back our childhood (and life) dream gameshow, and even be able to experience it in person as contestants! Yes, experience it as contestants. If we are successful in bringing back Splatalot, all supporters of this movement who helped out will get to experience the game show, every round, all expenses paid for – accommodation, travel, insurance, food and drink, everything all paid for. And I mean every supporter. If we are going to be collectively saving up enough money to bring back Splatalot, then we may as well save up the money to provide each of us the ability to experience the game show for free. I mean, we all did our part and helped, so it's only fair that each and every one of us can experience the magic in real life.

 

Costs and Expenses

Now, I have to put the estimated costs in here, as it is a vitally important consideration if we are going to do this. And please don't leave because of the costs; I know it's expensive, but remember, the more people we have, and the bigger we are as a community, the easier it will be for all of us. So please don't be scared off.

All prices are rough estimates in AUD (Australian Dollar), all units are in the Metric System. Regarding inflation, estimates are relevant to May 2026.

Initial Costs

Purchasing the Land: $1.2m - $1.8m

Site Preparation (levelling the land, concrete base, plumbing, etc.): $800k - $1.7m

Rebuilding the Set

Engineering and Design: $500k

Construction (the "main" expense): $2.5m - $4m

Staff and Personnel

Hiring Defenders: $300k (per season)

Production Crew (safety, cameramen, medics, director, stunt manager, etc.): $700k (per season)

Ongoing Costs

Maintenance/Logistics/Safety/Insurance/Utilities/etc.: $1.5m - $2m (per season)

 

 

 

What We Need To Do Right Now
Looking at those millions of dollars might feel impossible, but shared among thousands of fans, it becomes completely manageable. We are not asking one person to find millions. We are building a global community where thousands of fans chip in together over time.

This petition is Step 1. Before we can even talk about fundraising, banking, or buying back the land, we need to know who is in the kingdom with us. We need to prove that the Splatalot fanbase isn't dead—we are just waiting for our chance to take back the castle.

We aren't making a lookalike spin-off or a replacement show. We are tracking down the exact blueprints for Season 2, securing the original location in Canada, and rebuilding the castle to be 100% identical to the original. We are bringing the true kingdom back to life.
