Bring Back Reruns of The Oblongs on Adult Swim

Bring Back Reruns of The Oblongs on Adult Swim
The Issue
More than a decade back, television history embraced The Oblongs, when it was transported from The WB Television Network to Adult Swim, the renowned late-night block of Cartoon Network. Such a transition enabled fresh life to be breathed into these mesmerizing cartoons, thereby developing new colorful narratives and cherishing memories. However, unwelcomingly enough, on December 26, 2015, this diamond of cartoon comedy mysteriously vanished from the roster.
Adult Swim possesses an impressive track record of acquiring successful original programs like Home Movies from UPN and Soup2Nuts and The Boondocks from Sony Pictures Television. It's time they reacquire The Oblongs— a show that not only achieved cult status for its unique, sharp-witted humor, but also touched on societal issues legendary among the realm of animated series. This show was from The WB and Warner Bros. Television.
In our current era where nostalgia is a dominating force in television and film, this is the perfect opportunity for The Oblongs to be given the comeback it rightly deserves, and we believe that Adult Swim is the perfect place for this reunion.
Therefore, we request Warner Bros. Discovery, the owner of Adult Swim, to consider our plea, for the return of The Oblongs, this show is not an Adult Swim original series, It originally aired on The WB. The return of these grotesquely funny characters of the abnormal Oblong family would not only please its dedicated fanbase; it would also attract a new generation of viewers intrigued by its dark humor and quirky characters.
The Oblongs is an American adult animated sitcom created by Angus Oblong and Jace Richdale. It was Mohawk Productions' first venture into animation. The series premiered on April 1, 2001 on The WB, and cancelled due to low ratings on May 20, leaving the last five episodes unaired. The remaining episodes were later aired on Cartoon Network's late-night programming block Adult Swim in August 2002, with the series premiering on the network in production order. The series is loosely based on a series of characters introduced in a picture book entitled Creepy Susie and 13 Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children. The series was created by Angus Oblong and Jace Richdale, executive produced by Jace Richdale, Bruce Helford, and Deborah Oppenheimer, and produced by Oblong Productions, Film Roman, Jobsite Productions, and Mohawk Productions, in association with Warner Bros.
