Bring Back Qubo and ION Plus!

The Issue

I want E.W. Scripps to realize the mistake they made when they FORCED ION Plus and Qubo off the air for no reason whatsoever. This was a rushed decision that was not well thought of. Because of this decision, there are TWO or more Court TV affiliates in ONE market. That would be similar to one company owning the ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox stations in one market. It's ridiculous! If E.W. Scripps wanted to launch TrueReal and Defy TV in July, they could have kept ION Plus and Qubo on the air. They could have added those channels to the subchannel of ION and Katz Network affiliates. ION Plus could have served as an extension to the ION brand. This would be similar to Court TV Mystery being an extension to Court TV. ION Plus would air lifestyle-type programming. As far as Qubo, it should have never been thought of to be taken off the air. Even though Qubo was a shell of what it once was in its final years, Qubo still had good shows. Now with Qubo gone, Smile and PBS Kids are the only 24-hour children's network left in the United States. Smile is a Christian-based children's network. Sadly, Christian television is not seen as often as other secular networks; a problem that affects other religious broadcasters such as TBN, CBN, and TCT.

A Hourly Station showed up that said "Your ION Television Station" on ION Television Owned and operated stations and "Your ION Plus Station" on ION Plus stations.

Here's What E.W. Scripps should do:

  • Shut Down INYO Broadcast Holdings!
  • Stop Acquiring ION Media and bring the company back!
  • Bring Back Qubo, ION Plus, and Shop ION!
  • Shut Down Defy TV and Scripps News (Scripps News will still be a free linear network!)
  • Rename ION Mystery back to Court TV Mystery!
  • Rename ION back to ION Television!

Katz Networks (E.W. Scripps Company):

  • Bounce: You belong here
  • Court TV: Your front row seat to justice
  • Court TV Mystery: Join the investigation
  • Grit: Television with backbone
  • Laff: You know you want to

ION Media:

  • ION Television: Positively entertaining
  • ION Plus: More reasons to binge
  • Qubo: Where good fun begins

While there is no Qubo Channel available on either Dish Network or DirecTV, the West coast feed of ION Television airs a Qubo block from 6:00AM Eastern/5:00AM Central to 4:00PM Eastern/3:00PM Central time every day. Due to their extension of regular programming, ION Television still needs to airs the branded Qubo block in one hour sections, every Friday afternoons from 12:00PM Eastern/11:00AM Central to 3:00PM Eastern/2:00PM Central and so does NBC, every Saturday mornings from 10:00AM Eastern/9:00AM Central to 1:00PM Eastern/12:00PM Central, and Telemundo Every Saturday and Sunday mornings!

ION Plus is supposed to air Paid Programming from 1:00AM Eastern/12:00AM Central to 9:00AM Eastern/8:00AM Central!

Qubo Night Owl screenbug needs to appear from 12:00am to 6:00am Every Night. the Qubo Night Owl block starts regularly from 12:00am to 4:00am! Qubo starts from 4:00am to 6:00am!

I hope that E.W. Scripps Company right the wrongs of the closures of the former ION Plus, Qubo, and Shop ION and bring those brands back. I hope this petition can be a step to getting this done and fixing this problem.
