“Was He a Boy Like Me?” is a song from the VeggieTales album, The Incredible Singing Christmas Tree, which was released in 2005. The song was written and composed by Tim Hardin, Bob Gerard, and VeggieTales Music Director Kurt Heinecke, and is sung by Junior Asparagus, voiced by Lisa Vischer (wife of VeggieTales Creator Phil Vischer). 

In 2006, an animated music video based on the song was made for A Very Veggie Christmas: Live!, one of many VeggieTales live shows. The music video was directed and animated by Big Idea Animator Joshua Gunther and produced by Storyboard/Concept Artist Greg Hardin. It has been unavailable and forgotten to the online public in recent years as it had previously been available to watch on Joshua Gunther’s animation website and this in recent years has been declared by the VeggieTales fandom “a lost piece of VeggieTales media”. 

However, Big Idea’s concept art and all the storyboards from Greg Hardin, have been captured online by the ‘Lost Media Wiki’ which has been hosting this article since the start of this discovery and they have so far been the only found material related to this forgotten project. We would like the VeggieTales fandom to restore this special VeggieTales Christmas animated music video by sending this petition and possibly send emails to NBCUniversal, the VeggieTales website and Yippee TV so it can be officially restored for the upcoming Christmas season to its full glory.
