It's been almost a week since the online services for the Nintendo 3ds and Wii U shut down. While there are people that moved on from these consoles, there are a select few who still play the 3ds as well as the Wii U. It is true that Pretendo exists but I can only get it by modding my 3ds, but it is not worth the risk for me. And am I not the only one who has this issue? Anyways, when it comes to online support for the 3ds when it lasted, I have used it for Fire Emblem Fates special edition. Online services sure helped me get the items I want from other people's castles. Now with the service discontinued doing all this seems impossible. Now let's talk about online services for the Wii U which also shut down at the same time as the 3ds's online services. One Wii U game heavily affected by this is Splatoon 1. But it is not the only Wii U game that had online support, there was also super smash bros 4, Mario Kart 8, etc. I know that there is nothing we can do about it and Nintendo's decision was final. But it was the best free online services I experienced throughout my life on a Nintendo console. I'm pretty sure that some of you might be on the same boat as me. With your help, maybe we convince Nintendo to extend the expiration date for the online services for the Nintendo 3ds and the Wii U. Though it may seem impossible at first, regarding that Nintendo is a giant company. but anything is possible. If you want online services back for the 3ds and Wii U but at the same time you don't want to risk modding for Pretendo, Please sign this petition.

I remembered the first time that I connected to the Internet on my 3ds back in early 2012, which shortly after that I was introduced to Pokédex 3D as well as Swapnote. I didn't have a Wii U until my 12th birthday and at the time my 3ds was not connected to the Internet. In late 2014 I connected to the Internet on the Wii U. That is when I got Mario Kart 8 DLC. Well the Mercedes Benz DLC was free, I needed money to get the remaining DLC for Mario Kart 8. So I did exactly that. I was also hyped for Mewtwo returning to Super smash bros 4 for the Wii U so I purchased the DLC as well. It wasn't until 2016 that I connected my 3ds to the Internet again. After doing that I got Pokédex 3D Pro. I was enjoying the experience and then in 2019 that is when I was introduced to Fire Emblem Fates. And Fire Emblem Fates Conquest was my first ever Fire Emblem game. In 2021, I got the Special Edition of Fire Emblem Fates. In 2022, that was when I became aware of the Nintendo eShop closing for the 3ds and the Wii U, so I made my purchases on Virtual Console games for these devices as well as some DLC. When I realized that the Nintendo eShop closed for the Wii U and 3ds, that was the beginning of the end for online services for both of the hardware. My brother stopped playing his 3ds and tried to get me out of playing my 3ds but I refused, he tried again and the same result occurred. I was aware that online services for the 3ds were shutting down in 2024 (which is this year by the way.) I wanted to enjoy visiting different castles in Fire Emblem Fates before the clock ran out. And then in April 8th, 2024, the online service for the 3ds were shut down along with the Wii U's online service. At approximately 8 PM that day, I would update my castle data in Fire Emblem Fates but then I got this error code saying the online service has been discontinued, thank you for your service. That clearly made me devastated. And now, things are not going to be what they used to be. I was in denial that such an event happened in the first place. And then when I realized it, I was in a state of depression. Playing my 3ds without online support is not the same as playing it with online support to me. While some people have accepted this event to occur and started using Pretendo. I was one of those guys who were not ready to let go of something that is no longer in use. 

I just want to go back to the time before the online services of the 3ds were shut down alongside the Wii U. Please. This would really help me, And others who prefer not to use Pretendo.
