Bring Back Marble Blast

Bring Back Marble Blast

The Issue

Have you ever heard about Marble Blast? You may have played it as a kid.

Marble Blast Gold was a 3D platforming game released in 2003 for Windows and Mac by GarageGames. The gameplay is simple, yet hard. You play as a marble which you have to lead from a start pad to an end pad, without falling out of bounds while also collecting powerups. It may not sound that fun, but it gained a lot of popularity in the mid 2000's, which caused a whole community creating levels and customizing the game.

However, due to this popularity, a sequel was made.

Marble Blast Ultra was released on January 25, 2006 for the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade released by GarageGames. It is the sequel to Marble Blast Gold. It features 60 levels, enhanced graphics, 2 new power-ups and a multiplayer mode. Even though Marble Blast Ultra may have not have been as popular as Gold, it was a big hit on the Xbox Live Arcade.

However, all good things come to an end.

In October of 2011, GarageGames lost their rights to their games to InterActiveCorp, including Marble Blast, which caused Marble Blast Gold to be in most places, taken down from the internet, and Marble Blast Ultra to be delisted from the Xbox Live Arcade. This was considered to be an end of an era in Marble Blast history. However, there are still 2 sites you can download Marble Blast Gold from, that being marbleblast.com, a fan site for Marble Blast, and the MacGamesStore, however the old days are gone, and Marble Blast Ultra is still delisted for the Xbox Live Arcade, which is pretty sad, there is no way to legally play this game.

However, if you sign now, and we win, your childhood will be unlocked once again. We can get this game relisted. We can do this, So, join this petition to bring back Marble Blast.
