Hi Leafs fans,
Our petition was covered by Jonah Siegel in the Toronto Star today. https://www.thestar.com/sports/leafs/sportsnet-s-popular-leafs-talk-show-was-quietly-cancelled-this-season-we-tried-to-find-out-why/article_9a4ee45f-eb15-4d33-bba5-d0492406088a.html
This cause has now become infinitely more important as Jonah has quoted some anonymous insiders who state that Sammy and JD’s “blunt and honest” criticism may be a factor along with Roger’s recent consolidation of MLSE ownership.
If there is ANY truth to those claims, it is critical we keep pushing and fighting for JD and Sammy. As Leafs fans we CANNOT allow Rogers to come in and silence fan criticism. JD and Sammy have been a voice for all of us and if we let this stand we’ll be back to the Harold Ballard era.
Please keep sharing this petition far and wide, send it to anyone who you think can help promote it and contact anyone at Rogers, MLSE or Sportsnet that you have a personal connection with.
I will not let this go, and neither should you.
Thanks,
Logan
Leafs Fan
