As a student attending Clear Falls High School, the recent changes in the lunch schedule have significantly impacted my daily routine and academic performance, as well as those of my peers. Clear Falls High School is more than just a place of learning; it is a community where students, teachers, and staff come together to foster education and growth. However, altering the lunch schedule has disrupted this harmony and presented challenges that cannot be ignored.

The new schedule not only shortens our lunch break, depriving us of much-needed social interaction and relaxation, but also affects our ability to focus in the afternoon classes. Numerous studies have shown that longer lunch periods can contribute to better student performance. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), students who have adequate time for lunch perform better academically. They have the necessary time to eat healthier, socialize, and recharge for the rest of the school day. It also provides students with the opportunity to seek guidance from teachers, enhancing their learning experience.

Moreover, the new lunch schedule has led to overcrowding in the cafeteria, which raises concerns regarding safety and well-being.
