Bring Back Kiehl’s: Restore the Premium Experience at Equinox

Bring Back Kiehl’s: Restore the Premium Experience at Equinox
The Issue
We are asking Equinox to bring back Kiehl’s products and remove Grown Alchemist from its clubs. As longtime members, we’ve grown accustomed to the high-quality, trusted experience that Kiehl’s provided. The sudden switch to Grown Alchemist has been met with widespread dissatisfaction. For a brand that positions itself as the pinnacle of premium fitness and wellness, this change feels like a step backward.
Members have shared concerns about the Grown Alchemist product line. The face moisturizer has caused skin irritation and burning sensations for users. The body lotion fails to absorb properly, leaving a residue on the skin. Meanwhile, the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are heavily scented and feel like generic hotel products—far from the luxurious experience we associate with Equinox. Rather than elevating the club environment, Grown Alchemist undermines the premium standard we expect and pay for.
Kiehl’s, on the other hand, is a globally trusted brand with a long-standing reputation for effective, dermatologist-recommended products. Their formulas are backed by decades of research and consistently earn high ratings from customers. For example, Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream holds a 4.6-star rating across thousands of Sephora reviews and is celebrated for its hydrating, non-irritating formula. Their Amino Acid Shampoo and Body Fuel line are praised for quality ingredients and subtle, clean scents that align with Equinox’s luxury identity. Kiehl’s elevated the shower experience—Grown Alchemist diminishes it.
We urge Equinox to listen to its members and reinstate Kiehl’s across all clubs. This isn't just about skincare—it's about upholding the elite, thoughtful experience that defines the Equinox brand. Keeping Kiehl’s in the locker room signals that Equinox prioritizes quality, consistency, and the comfort of its loyal community.
