Stafford Municipal School District, has officially banned hoodies from being worn at the Stafford Middle School, for reasons that have nothing to do with the clothing. A hoodie DOES NOT define a person what-so ever. It is about the middle of winter and dropping around 30-40° in Stafford Texas. It is unacceptable for students to have to pay additional money for a crew neck which is around $30-$40, for a thin piece of clothing. It is not like the students have the HOOD on their head, so i do not see the problem with wearing one. This “ rule “ is completely outrageous and unnecessary, especially during winter seasons. People are getting sick left and right coming HOME from SCHOOL maybe because the students are literally freezing. The Principal should have not made this a rule because it has nothing to do with any type of violence especially from 6, 7, and 8th graders. If we win this debate, it will make a jourastic change to how the students act around the building, it would also save time from principals and teachers, taking away, and arguing with fellow students. Make your students feel COMFORTABLE.
