For many of us, our fondest childhood memories are tied to the joyous celebrations we had during elementary school - especially the Halloween parades and parties. I can recall the excitement and anticipation that grew in the air as we prepared for these seasonal events. With a daughter who experienced the same memorable moments in Oaklyn Public School, I know firsthand the impact these celebrations have on childhood development, camaraderie, and overall happiness.

However, these Halloween parades and parties have been dropped from the annual school calendar, leaving our children deprived of these memorable experiences. We are advocating for the return of these cherished traditions to our elementary school. Schools across the country have managed to organize such events while respecting health and safety regulations, emphasizing that it's feasible and beneficial.
