The arts and culture breathe life into our town - and GIANT gallery did this for Bournemouth Town Centre. 

GIANT was more than just a space - it was a beacon of creativity, inspiration, and community spirit. It added vibrancy to our town centre and attracted an impressive 240,000 visitors during its time. There is an undeniable demand for visual arts in our town.

GIANT's closure has left a void we urgently need to fill.

Why is it so important to have an art gallery in Bournemouth? 

The benefits of art and culture are many - they contribute to social cohesion, economic growth, and individual well-being. They help us build a shared vision for the future. GIANT did all this while providing an outlet for local artists. Stuart Semple poured his heart into GIANT, creating engaging exhibitions, supporting local artists and building a strong community.

Arts institutions are crucial to the future of our town centre and high streets. Galleries like GIANT are not just luxuries but necessities for a thriving community - and they have proven to be lynchpins for the regeneration of towns around the country. 

Let's bring back GIANT to its rightful place in Bournemouth Town Centre. Let's ensure that art remains accessible to all residents and continues contributing positively towards making Bournemouth thrive again.
