All schools have school songs, and Waukegan is no different. Yet the school song isn’t Waukegan's anthem. The song that carries Waukegan’s school spirit the song that embodies the Bulldog pride is Ghetto Bird. Although the song title isn’t the most tasteful, when composed by Waukegan’s band the song is magical. It changes the atmosphere, it brings camaraderie, hope, ambition, intensity and so many other things into the Dog Pound. 

With that being said this petition has been created as a request from Waukegan Alumni that Ghetto Bird is played by the band at sports events again. Its a lost tradition.
