As an ardent Formula 1 fan from India since 2023, I'm writing this petition because I passionately want to see the Indian Grand Prix make a return to our beloved nation. Having experienced the thrilling races virtually and heard tales of the high-octane excitement from friends who witnessed the past events, I'm eager to see the world's fastest motorsport cars blazing once again on Indian soil.

The Indian Grand Prix, held at the Buddh International Circuit, was a spectacular event that put India on the global motorsport map. The races held from 2011 to 2013 brought not only entertainment but also significant economic benefits, as they attracted a myriad of international tourists and race enthusiasts. The direct and indirect revenue from tourism significantly boosted local businesses, creating job opportunities and lifting spirits across the nation. It was a source of national pride, showcasing India's capabilities in hosting large-scale international events.

However, due to various reasons, the prestigious event has been absent from the Formula 1 calendar.

Formula 1 has rapidly grown in popularity across the globe and its fan base in India is expanding. With the success stories of Indian racers in other motorsports and increased viewership of Formula 1 in the region, there is a ready and eager fan base yearning for the race to return. The past years have demonstrated India's infrastructural capability to host such a large-scale event and our ability to offer logistical support.

By bringing back the Indian Grand Prix, we can reignite the passion for motorsport in the younger generation and inspire budding Indian racers who dream of making a mark in the international circuits. We can leverage this opportunity to boost our economy, showcase our cultural diversity, and demonstrate India's growing influence in global sports. It's about more than just a race; it's a celebration of engineering greatness, speed, and the shared enthusiasm of millions of fans.

We urge the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), Formula 1 Management, and all relevant stakeholders to reconsider their stance and bring back the Indian Grand Prix. Together, let’s make the roar of F1 engines echo once more across the horizons of India.
