Ending the final year fees free scheme is something that will affect many New Zealanders who wish to have a tertiary education. It is something that has helped out those who were struggling for money by taking thousands of dollars in costs off their shoulders. Ending fees free means that for many New Zealanders, tertiary education could now be too far out of reach for them, and they will end up not getting the education that they have the right to access. 

Bringing back the final year of fees free for tertiary education would mean that these things would not have to happen. For many, one year of fees free being brought back could be the thing that allows them to have access to the tertiary education that they deserve.  Not only this, but those who entered tertiary education leaning on the expectation that their final year would be fees free when the government ended it without much warning at all, would be able to  continue.

It would benefit many New Zealand students to bring back fees free.
