Bring Back Cookie Bear to Griffins Packaging

Bring Back Cookie Bear to Griffins Packaging
The issue
Growing up in New Zealand, Cookie Bear was a beloved part of the childhood of tens of thousands of New Zealand children who became proud members of the Cookie Bear club—a club that at one point boasted a membership including 1 in 4 New Zealand children. Those childhood memories have stuck with us, and as adults, we find ourselves reaching for Griffins products out of a deep-rooted brand loyalty fostered by Cookie Bear's endearing presence over the decades.
Cookie Bear isn't just a mascot; he's an ingrained part of New Zealand’s cultural fabric. Generations of Kiwis have grown up with this adorable bear gracing their biscuit packaging, making Griffins products easily identifiable amidst a sea of competition. His presence on packaging not only boosts brand recognition but also evokes a sense of nostalgia that connects consumers emotionally to the brand.
We kindly ask Griffins to reinstate Cookie Bear on all their biscuit packaging nationwide in New Zealand by Christmas 2025, and simultaneously reinstate the Cookie Bear club for children 12 years and under. Cookie Bear is iconic to New Zealand's socio-cultural history and plays a pivotal role in the unique identity of Griffins.
Let's bring back Cookie Bear to ensure future generations can share in the joy and warmth that Cookie Bear has brought to so many of us in the past. His return would not only rejuvenate the brand's wholesome image but also rekindle fond memories among older consumers who grew up with him.
Sign this petition to urge Griffins to embrace this beloved legacy and make Cookie Bear a part of our lives once again. Let's act now to preserve a cherished emblem of our childhood for the children of tomorrow.
