The Issue

In 2005, Chris Evans was cast as Johnny Storm/the Human Torch in 20th Century Fox's "Fantastic Four" film and its 2007 sequel, "Rise of the Silver Surfer".  In 2011, Chris Evans joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe by starring in "Captain America: The First Avenger" as the titular hero, Steve Rogers/Captain America.  Evans would continue playing Steve Rogers in two more "Captain America" films and four "The Avengers" films, as well as cameos in film such as "Thor: The Dark World" and "Spider-Man": Homecoming".  Evans's Steve Rogers left the M.C.U. with 2019's "Avengers: Endgame", where Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson took up the identity and shield of Captain America.  Chris Evans also recently returned to the role of Johnny Storm as a variant in the 2024 film "Deadpool & Wolverine".

Currently, Marvel Studios is filming "Avengers: Doomsday" and has brought back multiple cast members to work on the film.  Unfortunately, Chris Evans has not yet been asked back for "Avengers: Doomsday" as either Steve Rogers/Captain America or as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.

While it is rumored a new actor will take over as Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after "Avengers: Secret Wars", we, the fans, would like to see Chris Evans return as Captain America in "Avengers: Doomsday" and/or "Avengers: Secret Wars" and interact with multiple returning Marvel cast members that already filming the movie "Avengers: Doomsday", such as Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, and James Marsden as Scott Summers/Cyclops.  Fans also hope to see Hugh Jackman's Logan/Wolverine finally interact with Chris Evans's Captain America for either "Avengers: Doomsday" or "Avengers: Secret Wars".  If possible, fans would also love to see Chris Evans's Johnny Storm return with his former "Fantastic Four" co-stars Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Jessica Alba as Susan Storm-Richards/The Invisible Woman, Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm/the Thing, and Julian McMahon as Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom.
