In the 70's and 80's i was brought up watching public information videos, i am a mother of 3 boys two being under the age of 10

Commercials like:- Charley says, Stranger Danger, Fireworks, Danger do not swim, or climb electricity pylons and safely crossing level crossings or not playing near railway tracks.

We even had the Green cross code man! 

I strongly believe these helped our generation stay safe and they definatley made me aware of my surroundings.

What happened to these being updated to continually help children stay safe?

Fast forward to 2022 - there are no saftey information shown on TV. 

Why cant new and updated saftey information be shown on the TV between childrens programmes? or as adverts on U Tube, or other online platforms?  

I know this is also the job of the parents to educate and keep safe, and i know we all do our best, but do all kids always listen to their parents?

After the terrible lake incident this week i think the government needs to take action and to provide education to help stop these terrible tragedies from happening in future.
