The only bus service that connected Swallownest and Crystal Peaks directly was the number 27 and took roughly 15 minutes to get from Swallownest to Crystal Peaks has been decided by First that they are no longer going to operate it or the 29 and instead a number 21 will replace both of them, not go anywhere near Crystal Peaks and will be operated by Stagecoach and TM Travel. The reason for the cancellation is that the 27 service has been so appalling and decided that they cannot operate it efficiently due to lack of drivers, so decided to cancel it completely.

This not only causes problems for people who go to the college at Crystal Peaks but also the elderly who have mobility issues will not want to get 2 buses.

One alternative to get to Crystal Peaks from Swallownest, will be either get the X5 into Sheffield Town Centre then the 120 to Crystal Peaks (although these buses are in the process of having the journey times altered so it could take longer than an hour and half to get there).

A shorter alternative (as it stands at the moment) is to get the X5 to Retford Road/Beaver Hill Road, walk 2 minutes then get the 30 City Line which can take 40 minutes but this could alter with the updated timetables that are yet to be issued for the X5.

I have been informed that the X5 will be less regular than it is already, to around every 40 minutes.

Therefore, I have created this petition to ask the bus companies to look at a way to get a direct bus service from Swallownest to Crystal Peaks.

Please share as much as you can as I would like to get as many signatures for this as possible.
