Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the concerns of the families. We sincerely appreciate the respectful manner in which you have advocated on behalf of your children.
After carefully reviewing all available options, we have concluded that, due to low ridership and the significant operating deficit associated with this route, continuing Bus Route #2 is unfortunately not financially sustainable at this time.
While we are unable to reverse this decision, we want to support families through this transition as best we can. Insha'Allah, we would like to meet with the families who are directly affected to listen to their concerns, answer questions, and provide further context regarding the decision.
To keep the discussion meaningful and focused, we ask that this meeting be limited to the families directly impacted by the discontinuation of Bus Route #2.
We would be pleased to meet on Friday at 3:00 PM at SMS.
